Summary

C-Star seeks an accomplished professional to fill the Associate Director of Acquisition & Asset Management role in our New York office. This leadership role involves overseeing our SFR investment platform's day-to-day operations, which span various Sunbelt and southeast territories. The selected candidate will manage a team of analysts/associates involved in the acquisition, asset management, research, and capital markets. Their chief responsibility will be to align the team's efforts with the strategic goals outlined by senior management, particularly in achieving acquisition pipeline and return profiles.

Primary Responsibilities

Underwriting, financial modeling, due diligence, and finalizing acquisitions and originations of SFR properties. (MLS and off-market deals generated from in-house sales)
Negotiating, financing, and closing acquisitions and investments.
Collaborating actively with private markets fundraising and capital markets debt efforts.
Conducting market research on investment target markets and expansion markets, making visionary assessments in line with market dynamics and the company's expansion plans.
Conducting periodic reviews and reporting on existing portfolios to senior management.
Collaborating with our product and technology teams to leverage data science in mapping, underwriting, and closing transactions.

Minimum Requirements and Qualifications

Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university. Higher education with a reputable university is preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of real estate acquisition experience. Prior acquisition experience within an SFR investment management firm is highly preferred.
Familiarity with Sun Belt markets is desirable.
