Kaitlin McCarthy is Founder and CEO of Ionic Development based in Boston, MA. Kaitlin has extensive experience managing large development and construction projects in downtown Boston. She has overseen over 3 million square feet and $1B of development in Greater Boston including residential, office, and life science. Prior to founding Ionic Development, Kaitlin was a Vice President at The HYM Investment Group. Her projects included The Sudbury (368 apartments and 55 condos) and One Congress (world headquarters of State Street Bank) among other projects within Bulfinch Crossing.

Prior to joining The HYM Investment Group, Kaitlin was a management consultant with The Boston Consulting Group and held several roles at Turner Construction Company, including head of the financial reporting department for the Boston office. Kaitlin managed the budget for several projects while at Turner including the Liberty Mutual Headquarters in Back Bay.

Kaitlin is very involved in the real estate community as a member of the Women’s Development Collaborative (WDC), Professional Women in Construction (PWC), the Greater Boston Real Estate Board, the Harvard Alumni Real Estate Board, the Urban Land Institute (ULI), and the National Association for Industrial and Office Parks, Massachusetts (NAIOP).

Kaitlin graduated from Harvard Business school (HBS) with a Master of Business Administration and from Northeastern University with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering.
