A GlobeSt. Women of Influence Award recipient, Pamela Yang is a qualified financial expert and thought leader with three decades of experience in the financial services industry. Pamela has managed portfolios in traditional, real estate, and alternative asset classes, with in-depth expertise in investment, due diligence, manager selection, and client service.

Pamela is the former Chief Operating Officer of The Bulfinch Companies, Inc., a commercial real estate firm where she led asset management, property management, financial reporting, HR, and IT. She also founded the firm’s Sustainability Committee, DEI Committee, and established the Affirmative Action Plan.

Prior to Bulfinch, Pamela served as Managing Director and Head of the Charitable Asset Management group at State Street Global Advisors (SSGA), where she was responsible for overseeing and growing investment assets for non-profit clients. During her tenure, she successfully expanded the client base and earned high client satisfaction ratings. She was actively involved in the SSGA Foundation and the Gender Diversity ETF initiative.

Pamela spent 18 years at Harvard Management Company, where she led the Trusts and Gifts group as Senior Vice President and Head of Trust Investment and Operations. She served as a fiduciary for Harvard University’s charitable assets and employees’ pension plan, successfully doubling the size of the charitable assets and establishing the firm’s first internal control function.

Earlier in her career, Pamela worked at PricewaterhouseCoopers for four years as an auditor serving financial services clients.

Pamela currently serves as an Independent Trustee of the Litman Gregory Funds Trust and Chair of the Audit and Finance Committee of the CFA Institute’s Board of Governors. She previously chaired the board of the Boston Securities Analysts Society and is a long-time trustee of the Boston Ballet.

Pamela pursued PhD studies in French Literature at New York University and holds degrees from Northeastern University and Beijing Foreign Studies University. She is fluent in French, English, and Chinese. An avid reader and daily distance swimmer, Pamela embodies lifelong learning, discipline, and a commitment to excellence.
